Real Tipi Wedding - Bryn & Henry

What happens if it rains? We get asked this a LOT. We’re Yorkshire based after all! Bryn and Henry’s glorious day back on 15th July 2023 is the most perfect example of what happens when it rains - the snazzy brollies come out, the pizza oven gets fired up, the fizz flows and the guest hit the dance floor!

Bryn and Henry’s spirits certainly were not dampened, they celebrated in three giant teepees with our team running their bar for the day. Bryn reflects on their tipi wedding journey:

“We loved the idea of a rustic, cosy, indoor/outdoor style wedding and we were won over by Bar Events after having a chat with Laura who had the answers to all our questions and was so supportive of all our ideas for the big day."

"When we first saw the tipis set up they were absolutely stunning and we knew we had made the right choice. The British summer weather wasn't as kind as it could have been on the day, but we could not have had a more perfect time with all our family and friends tucked away in the magical teepees until late into the night!"

"We chose to have our reception at Henry's family farm in Yorkshire as it's a special place for us both. The tipis were perfect for making the most of the beautiful setting we were in and really helped to create the atmosphere we were after."

"People aren't lying when they say planning a wedding is stressful but Bar Events really made everything to do with the teepees as easy as possible. They were extremely organised and easy to deal with, and pretty much planned most of our reception for us.

It really helped that we ended up going with a lot of their recommended suppliers for things like catering, flowers and music because Bar Events were then able to get in touch with them to sort out all the smaller details that made the day so special. Our wedding really wouldn't have happened without them!"

"We felt a lot of support along the way knowing Laura or Dan were only a quick call or email away. When our wedding date had to change due to an unexpected circumstance, the team were very quick to reassure us that everything could still go ahead as planned.”

Bryn shared her top tips with us for anyone planning a tipi wedding…

“It is definitely beneficial to go to a Showcase event like we did. You can really start to visualise your day and see what stands out to you! (Book free tickets to our Spring 2024 Showcase)

The biggest tip if you're considering a tipi wedding is to get in touch with Bar Events and just have a chat with them. They couldn't be nicer and are very good at what they do.

If you are planning to book with them, we would also recommend including the bar package as it made everything a whole lot less hassle and was great to have someone there to help run the day so we could enjoy ourselves instead.”
