Planning Your Teepee Wedding

Wedding planning is so much fun but it can be overwhelming, particularly at the very start. We find one of the main reasons couples sway away from an outdoor wedding is the feeling that bringing everything together is tricky or stressful.

It doesn’t have to be that way though. By breaking down plans into manageable steps, it soon becomes clear that the pros of a planning your very own teepee wedding can far outweigh the cons. You have limitless free reign and choice when it comes to suppliers and you can adapt EVERYTHING to reflect YOU as a couple. How exciting is that?!

So where to start?

Guest numbers

A very good place to start is with your guest numbers. Calculate maximum guest numbers, both seated for a meal and in total at night, and we’ll suggest a set up that will work really well based on this. If there are other key elements you’d like to fit inside your teepee structure – whether it be a bar, chill out seating area, beer pong table, you name it, we can work on a floor plan to create your ideal venue.

Location

Another item to work on early in your planning is where your teepees will be set up. If you have somewhere in mind we’ll happily carry out a site visit to check the suitability of this space. Often couples have their hearts set on teepees with nowhere in mind to hold their wedding. In this instance we can help source a suitable space of venue.

Necessities

Before you get to the really fun bits, there’s going to be some essential items that you wouldn’t be able to do without on the day such as power and toilets. If these are not available at your chosen venue we can help source those and coordinate delivery on your behalf. Nobody wants to be taking a toilet delivery on their wedding morning – we get that!

Key Suppliers

We have some great supplier suggestions from caterers and bands to glamping villages and everything in between. We recommend nailing down your key suppliers as early as possible. Get all the ‘main’ items ticked off allowing you time to focus on the finer detail that really makes the day about you. The run up to your wedding day can be one of the best parts so it’s great to be able to relax and enjoy this time.
