I am a travel consultant with Not Just Travel where luxury meets affordability to make your honeymoon, hen and stag parties what you have dreamed of.
My approach to booking your holiday, honeymoon, stag or hen party is that if it wouldn’t be good enough for me, then it’s not good enough for you. My main aim is to get to know a bit about you, so that I can tailor your perfect trip for you. It’s important at this point to say that my service is completely free; I get paid by the 450+ suppliers who we use on a daily basis. Suppliers who are experts in every imaginable corner of the world (and some you would never imagine too).
Your honeymoon should be the biggest, best and most romantic holiday you have had to date; as such it is all too easy to become emotionally involved in the booking and planning process, leaving yourself open to suggestions that sound great, but which don’t necessarily fit the bill; which is why I have a consultation with you to find out exactly what you want and put together the honeymoon of your dreams.
As your honeymoon should be the best holiday ever it is important to consider where you want to go and why. Do you like exploring and discovering different destinations on an almost daily basis? Then perhaps a cruise is for you. Would you rather soak up the rays of the sun and be waited on hand and foot by the attentive staff in a luxury resort; consider the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka…the list is almost endless. Are you a nature lover who would like to discover the raw beauty of the Serengeti or the Kruger National Park with all the wildlife on show, then a safari would fit the bill. Do you want to become immersed in the culture of somewhere completely different? Whatever you hope to get out of your honeymoon there is a perfect trip to match.
Often how much you can get out of your honeymoon is governed by your budget and what you can afford; this is where our free honeymoon gift list service kicks in. This means that you can ask your friends and family to contribute towards your honeymoon rather than buying you another set of crockery or a hot water bottle that will never see the light of day again. Which in turn means you can probably afford to splash out a little on your honeymoon.
There is no right or wrong amount of money to set aside for your honeymoon; but be realistic, if it truly is to be a dream get away, you want to get everything just right and cutting corners in the wrong places can take the edge off. Again this is where my expertise comes in; I may well be able to save money in other areas that you won’t notice as much.
Typically flights are only published up to 11 months in advance; whereas weddings can often be planned much further ahead than that. We do work with a number of suppliers who publish their prices up to two years in advance (Sandals and Beachcomber are two examples of high-end luxury resorts who do this). This give you the chance to plan for your trip; we offer payment plans too allowing you to pay off a set amount at regular intervals set by you.
