December 2015 was the start of something special – Ilkley Christmas Teepees. In collaboration with our friends at Ribble Valley Catering, in three giant teepees, we created a breathtakingly cosy and festive bar and dining space. Meanwhile our snug teepee was transformed in to a unique grotto where, each day, Santa greeted streams of excited children.
The weather was infamously terrible throughout December 2015, with terrible flooding across the region later in the month. Throughout our stay the wind blew and rain poured but spirits were not dampened. The lovely people of Ilkley and beyond ventured out to sip mulled wine by the fire and sample Ribble Valley Catering’s seasonal food. The teepees, built for all weathers, stood their ground and inside remained dry and warm. We loved every moment…so much so we decided to make it an annual event!
